AUTOsports came about when a bunch of like minded motorsport enthusiasts got together to create the ultimate track day business way back in 2001. The track day scene was in it's infancy and AUTOsports lead the way, running days at Eastern Creek, Wakefield Park and the now closed Oran Park. AUTOsports was widely regarded as the most professional track day business in Australia, but in 2009 with the closure of Oran Park and the tracks hiring fees sky rocketing, the business was no longer viable. We were involved for the love of motorsport. AUTOsports never profitted from the days, but the rising costs of hiring circuits and more and more track days businesses popping up meant that numbers started to dwindle, which meant AUTOsports was in fact losing thousands of dollars by running the days. So it was decided the take a sabatical.

AUTOsports owner Peter Bryant is a well known motorsport marketer, having helped many teams and drivers over the years and through his contacts in the advertising industry that it was decided to put together a leading motorsport online store and performance shop. In 2011 AUTOsports Australia launched it's brand new online store with the aim being to give the Australian motorsport community the best value motorsport products on the market.
